As part of the Foodji team, I would like to give you an insight into how we are working for a more sustainable world and which steps We are doing something to reduce our environmental footprint.

The figures on food waste in Germany are more than just figures — they are a wake-up call for all of us. 11 million tons of food are thrown away in Germany every year, a condition that not only wastes valuable resources but also pollutes our environment and society. At Foodji, we have made it our mission to take on this challenge and actively make a difference. We want to avoid food waste!
How do we address this issue? The key is to use advanced technologies. Machine learning and intelligent algorithms are not just buzzwords for us: they are essential tools that enable us to revolutionize our processes. Through precise quantity planning, we can avoid overstocks and ensure that we produce exactly what is actually needed.
Our Foodji app is a crucial tool for this. It not only provides us with insights into preferences and demand patterns at our locations, but also enables us to develop a profound understanding of our customers. It makes it possible to constantly refine our range and adapt the food to actual needs.

But it's not just about optimising the offering. This data also helps us to identify trends and to anticipate which products are in particular demand. According to the Federal Environment Agency, every third meal from a canteen ends up in the trash. The advantage of Foodjis food vending machines is that the range is available around the clock and the menu is constantly being adjusted. In this way, we can not only reduce food waste, but also ensure that you find exactly what you're looking for and want to enjoy.

We are proud to work with local and sustainable partners like BettaF! sh, Planted and Lemonaid work together. These partnerships enable us to expand our offerings to include environmentally friendly and plant-based alternatives that are not only good for you, but also for our planet. By supporting local cycles, we help reduce environmental impact while strengthening the diversity and resilience of our communities.
Innovation in our packaging
We understand the importance of packaging in our industry and have deliberately opted for recyclable disposable packaging that offers an optimal balance between hygiene, durability and environmental friendliness. That's why we use Halopacks, an innovative packaging solution. After enjoying our meals, your employee can simply separate the various components of the halo pack and dispose of them accordingly in the paper bin and yellow bag. But the benefits of halo packs don't end with disposal. They're also microwave-safe, meaning you can heat up your meals comfortably without worrying about releasing harmful substances. We're always looking for ways to improve our packaging solutions and are constantly evaluating new opportunities to maximize our contribution to sustainability.

Optimizing our supply chain
Our optimized supply chain ensures that we use resources efficiently by keeping transport routes to companies short and favoring local resources. This not only helps to reduce CO2 emissions, but also ensures the freshness and quality of Foodjis food.

Working with food sharing initiatives enables Foodji to make good use of excess food instead of wasting it.
Foodsharing is a movement that promotes the sensible use of food. Through this cooperation, we can distribute surplus but still completely edible food to people in the community who need it. This not only helps prevent food waste, but also promotes social inclusion and supports members of our society in need.

We are ambitious and have set ourselves high goals: 0% food waste, a stronger focus on seasonal products and achieving 100% CO2 neutrality through compensation. These goals reflect our commitment to play a pioneering role not only in the food industry but also for our planet.
