Flexible and fast employee catering at Wingcopter
Wingcopter GmbH is an innovative company in the aerospace industry.
With a focus on the production, development and operation of autonomous delivery drones, the company employs over 150 people.

Fast and flexible care - around the clock
Before Foodji was introduced, employees were catered for by various food providers on site: the HelloFreshGo smart fridge and a mobile baker offered a selection of foods such as sandwiches, salads and snacks. There is also a nearby shopping centre for further shopping opportunities. Wingcopter's biggest challenge was to provide all employees with food quickly and at any time, especially when breaks were shorter than usual due to frequent meetings. With the introduction of Foodji, the company aimed to provide employees with uncomplicated catering that was available at all times. This was intended to extend break times and thus create more space for relaxation. At the same time, it was intended to increase employee satisfaction and offer a new benefit in the form of a meal allowance.
In the search for a suitable catering solution, Foodji impressed with its innovative and integrated system. Wingcopter particularly appreciates Foodji's sustainable concept: artificial intelligence is used to tailor the product range to employee demand, thus avoiding overstocking and helping to reduce food waste. The combination of efficiency and sustainability fits perfectly with Wingcopter's corporate values and played a decisive role in the choice of catering provider.

Foodji as a reliable supply situation
The introduction of Foodji has made the supply situation more reliable. The break culture has changed in that the time gained is now used for communal activities such as table football or billiards.
Overall, the partnership with Foodji has improved the supply situation at Wingcopter, contributed to employee satisfaction and continues to be valued as a valuable part of the working environment.
Highlights of the decision
Foodji as a valued benefit
Currently, a Foodji is in use in the Wingcopter ‘dining hall’, which is accessible to all departments (production, administration and development). The initial response to Foodji from employees has been extremely positive. The company subsidy, which includes a tax-free meal allowance of €15 per week, is particularly appreciated. The Wingcopter team sees this benefit not only as financial relief, but also as a sign of appreciation. This positions Wingcopter as an attractive employer that cares about the well-being of its employees.
The products from Foodji are perceived as high quality, and the selection is also rated very positively – especially because the increasing demand for vegetarian dishes is very well met. The Wingcopter team's favourite dishes include pasta salad with feta and peppers, mango coconut curry with chicken breast fillet strips and the Caesar salad bowl.
Wingcopter also advertises subsidised lunches from Foodji on its career website.
