Michelin-star quality for your lunch break: Foodji partners with top chef Holger Stromberg

Top chef Holger Stromberg
The Michelin-starred chef and long-time nutrition coach for the German national football team has developed dishes for Foodji machines that bring high-quality, balanced food directly to the workplace, supporting a nutrition-conscious lifestyle.
Munich, June 8, 2026 – The Munich-based food-tech company Foodji announces its partnership with top chef Holger Stromberg. The nutrition expert, who fueled the 2014 World Cup-winning football team, has worked with Foodji and his food-tech startup Nutriomix to create four new dishes that will soon be available in Foodji machines. Under the name "Balanced Meals by Holger Stromberg," Foodji customers will have additional options for healthy and balanced nutrition during the workday.
Companies also benefit from offering their employees nutritious meals without the need for a traditional canteen – a topic that is becoming increasingly important in the context of New Work, labor shortages, and corporate health management. In a 2025 Foodji survey*, 52 percent of respondents stated that on-site food options are an incentive for them to come into the office. 92 percent feel more motivated and energized when healthy food is available at work.
"After oxygen, food is the most important energy source for the human body and therefore a key lever for health and performance. It’s not just about sufficient energy intake; the composition of nutrients can directly influence our concentration, coordination, memory, and even our mood," says Holger Stromberg. "With Nutriomix, I help companies develop sustainable nutrition systems that combine balance, enjoyment, and sustainability. A key to success is practicality. Foodji delivers exactly that: healthy nutrition that fits flexibly into people's daily lives – especially where quick solutions are needed. The result is motivated employees who are fitter and feel better."
Healthy nutrition, high-performing employees
"Companies demand peak performance from their employees, especially in these challenging times. Our brain is responsible for over 20 percent of our body's energy needs, yet over 90 percent of companies in Germany do not offer their employees any internal dining options. Our goal is to make wholesome and balanced nutrition available at every workplace, regardless of company size, shift patterns, or salary level. We are delighted to have gained an expert in Holger Stromberg who is helping us put this topic at the top of the agenda and raising awareness that performance in the workplace also depends on what's on the plate. This is how we show that health and enjoyment are by no means mutually exclusive," says Felix Munte, CEO and co-founder of Foodji.
Holger Stromberg trained in Michelin-starred gastronomy and, at 23, became the youngest chef in Germany to be awarded a Michelin star. For ten years, he served as the nutrition coach and chef for the German national football team. Since 2002, he has been advising companies on catering and food service matters, applying his expertise from professional sports to the demands of corporate health management.
The dishes he has developed for Foodji include a Brazilian chicken and mango salad bowl, chanterelle ravioli with broccolini, potato and carrot stew with chicken meatballs, and a grilled vegetable and feta salad bowl. These dishes will be available in the Foodji range from mid-June – just in time for the start of the FIFA World Cup in Canada, the USA, and Mexico.

About Foodji
Foodji, the young food-tech market leader based in Munich, was founded in 2016. Foodji enables companies without a canteen to provide their employees with fresh, nutritious meals at the workplace. These meals are characterized by their exceptional quality and can be reserved via app or purchased via touchscreen without registration. The menu is tailored to employee preferences using specially developed artificial intelligence. In addition to a personalized selection, this results in significantly less food waste than is typical in the food industry. Thanks to 24/7 availability, Foodjis are also more flexible than traditional canteens, serving employees working shifts and night hours.
